Untuk mendapatkan citra yang baik dan sesuai dengan visi yang ingin disampaikan kepada masyarakat, perguruan tinggi wajib menampilkan \u201cwajah\u201d terbaiknya melalui desain bangunan-bangunannya baik secara eksterior maupun interior. Perancangan Lobby Rektorat Universitas Bandar Lampung ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menampilkan citra dan visi dari kampus Universitas Bandar Lampung kepada masyarakat luas. Lobby yang secara fungsi merupakan area penerima, dinilai sangat efektif untuk menyampaikan visi institusi secara tidak langsung. Dengan demikian perancangan ini dibuat berdasarkan visi Universitas Bandar Lampung yaitu \u201cTo Be The World Enterpreneurial University\u201d.
